View from the convex side...you'll see surface ant activity. From the flat backside...there's an underground militia at work carrying out the duties of being...ants. Really focused, busy ants. We love the fact that kids get to feed and water their Western Harvester ants themselves...open the little top flap, drop in bits of fresh vegetables, fruits and water drops - every third day. Makes for a colony of insect pets that are easy to maintain and fun to watch. Especially when competition arises for carrying away the occasional bit of potato chip. (Hey! Who put that in there?)
