ZOOOOS presents a whole new way to explore the world-famous San Diego Zoo! Your child can interactively explore this virtual zoo, easily moving about the program and finding the animals they most want to see. The program features over forty fascinating animals with mammals, birds, reptiles, insects and more. Your child will learn about animal behavior, raising young animals, feeding, and even animal sounds. Its fun, it’s easy, and it’s aligned to educational standards for early learning. Throughout the program, your child will learn about various aspects of each animal and gain an appreciation of the amazing diversity of life on Earth.
After exploring the zoo, your child can test his or her animal knowledge with the Zookeeper Game. It’s a fully interactive game which features a variety of challenges, each of which will ask your child to call upon the knowledge they have acquired while exploring the DVD. It’s sure to inspire your child to learn and appreciate all the wonderful aspects of our animal kingdom.
The 100-acre San Diego Zoo is operated by the not-for-profit Zoological Society of San Diego. The Zoological Society, dedicated to the conservation of endangered species and their habitats, engages in conservation and research work around the globe. The Zoological Society also manages the 1,800-acre San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park (more than half of which has been set aside as protected native species habitat) and the department of Conservation and Research for Endangered Species (CRES).
